This was a nice small project I was asked to consult on for Permaculture Sustainable Consultants. It involved setting up a small wicking bed system for the university as part of an awareness program they had about healthy eating and the importance of self reliance.

The Wicking Bed systems are best suited for Hyper Arid climates such as the UAE and super productive for small scale vegetables systems such as what they needed in the University.

My time there also involved a couple of workshops, one on composting and soil fertility, and the other was on designing a larger system for the university that would be worked on at later stages involving harvesting water run off and gray water and establishing a Food Oasis system.
